Weekend work at Fintray Garden

muahahha! i finally got some time to blog! it's about 6am and i've got some spare time to blog before i have to start getting ready for work! =)

Last weekend was spent at my aunt & uncle's cottage just outside Aberdeen city, fixing up some walls. i have no experience with this whatsoever. but thought i'd just give my friend a hand since i have nothing else to do on that day, and i guess it's the least i can do for my aunt and uncle, they've helped me out soo much.

So, basically it's like this. my uncle wanted someone to fix up the wall (it's actually a few walls, but i just counted it as one huge wall, this is how i tricked my friend into doing it =P). So my friend, Ryan who was going to be here the whole summer, was going to be coming to the cottage almost everyday to get the wall done. Thing is, he had experience with cementing, but not with walls. thankfully, u can find anything on youtube nowadays! Who would be bored enough to post up a tutorial on wall cementing online!?

Anyway, this was some serious stuff, i even got to use a cement mixer! and it was much cleaner than the ones u see at construction sites.

On one of our breaks he gave me a tour of the walls he managed to finish during the summer.

This wall took a month for him. he had to point the whole wall. see all the grey parts on the wall? yea, that's all him.

Ok ok, after a quick tutorial, it was my turn to have a go at it!

We didn't manage to finish the last wall because we ran out of cement, and it was too late to go out and buy some. Although we didn't manage to get the job done, it was nice to spend some time outdoors, since i spent the whole first week in Aberdeen locked in my flat. thankfully it was one of the few sunny days that Aberdeen had this summer. It was really nice to be outside in the countryside. It made me remember what made me drawn to this countryside town in the first place. it's sooo peaceful, the air is fresh, the people are friendly and u can get almost anywhere u need to go by walking.

I know there aren't that many attractions in Scotland, but i really should say, if u like the countryside feeling, there're many places around in Scotland to visit. and Aberdeen is one of them ;)

NOW get your ass up to Aberdeen and keep me company damnit!! i'm soo bored here!!!!!!! =...(

bad habits

Looks like the term's started and i've gone back to being busy every single day! The best thing about this packed week is, classes hasn't even started yet! It's going to be a miracle if i can balance studies, work, society and sports stuff this coming year! i'm already stressing out thinking about it..

I'm losing out on sleep. i've been going to bed like 10pm every night just so i wont be feeling sleepy throughout the day. hopefully things wont be as bad after the fasting month.

On another note, i've noticed that an old habbit has come back. just moments ago, i was browsing blogs, and i couldn't read anything which was more than a paragraph long! i did like all the pictures on the blogs though! =) maybe i'm just tired..

Oh well, i've got stuff to blog about but i just don't have the time anymore =( how sad....

Colourful socks and lingerie

Many of you may have noticed, when i'm taking my shoes of, maybe even from peeking through the gap between the end of my jeans and my shoes, or whenever. my socks are never the same colour.... NEVER!!

You know how girls, or more accurately, women who wear lingerie or sexy underwear when they plan to look extra good in their underwear for someone special?
(probably won't apply to my 'young' readers but u know what i mean right?)

My mismatching socks are kinda like that! Everyone keeps asking what's the point of wearing colourful socks if no one's gonna see them? the socks are a fashion statement that only some can see.

So if you've seen my colourful socks, u know you're special ;)

What a weird and random post! but who cares! i was bored in Heathrow while i was on the way back to Aberdeen! u have no idea the other places my mind wondered for the 8 hours i was in Heathrow...

it's not even been a full day since i got back and already i feel the need to go to my friend's place to rock band the stress away..

WTF!?!??!?!?!?

must have miscalculated how much money to leave in my account over the holidays...

and my flight......... 30 bloody long hours!!!!!!!!!! but at least i bumped into Zaza and Sarah. so it wasn't too bad. was still alone in Heathrow for 6 hours.. that was mad! killed time playing PSP and writing out my next couple of posts.

guess i'll have to go out soon, need supplies and food!!

still walking around the flat in my boxers... i love having the flat to myself sometimes =P

bye bye my (KL) friends!!

about a full day from now i'll be in KLIA, waiting for my flight to get out of boring ol' Malaysia. Don't get me wrong, i loved my 3 months back here, but i think i've had enough of lazing around. there's just soo much unproductiveness a person can take. come to think of it, i guess i did deserve the 3 months of doing nothing, i did work hard for the 9 months before that. back to working hard for 9 months! even if i do come back next summer, i think it'll just be for at most a month. and for that month... i will be partying hard =P

anyway, about my summer back here. was seriously a blast! can't imagine it being any better.. i did feel that i have drifted away from people who i used to think i was close to, i also feel that i have also gotten closer to some, and even met new friends this summer. Thank you all for making this summer a memorable one.

Sara for being like an older sister to me, although technically i'm older =P i really took all the advice u gave me to heart. thank you for all the hilarious and random conversations that we have in my car while driving around aimlessly around Damansara. don't ever let people tell u to shut up, cause i love your talkativeness ;)

Ching Mun for being so irritating and irritable at the same time, i don't know anyone else who is as fun to irritate as you. we spend way too much time competing in these pointless online games, but it was a great way to waste several hours of our lives each day! (give me back my hours i wasted on bowling buddy with you!!). for coming out almost everytime i invited u out, although i bet u got bored of me by now =P

Li Hong for still being that sweet and clumsy girl i knew from the good old cempakan days. you still are the sweetest girl i know, and i hope u stay that way (Jie Xing, if you're reading this i'm saying it just as a friend, and i will get to you shortly).

Xin Ying for being soo fun! i know i didn't get to spend much time with u most of the summer since u were quite busy, but wow, everytime i go out with you i'd definitely have fun! the pool thing today was great ;)

Jie Xing for being the designated driver that karaoke night. wasn't sure how i'd get home safely if it wasnt for u. also for all the midnight mamak sessions we had. gave me more oppurtunities to enjoy malaysian food while i'm back. hahaha.. butt buddies!

Jean for still being a close friend of mine even if we barely talk anymore. it really was dissapointing that i couldnt chill with u as much this year.

Cheok and Leo for still calling me out evethough i almost could never make it to any of it.

Lydia for actually calling me every other week to go rock climbing, only to find out i couldnt make it. i really do wish i could go rock climbing with you. =(

Ka Mun for fueling my addiction to shisha.. sadly, i just cant enjoy shisha the same way without you =(

And if your name isn't mentioned here, don't worry, i still am grateful for making my summer what it was =)

Now that i think about it, the one thing that i think could've made my summer any better was if my 2 close friends were here in KL with me.. i didn't get to see them for over a year now and i really miss the both of you. I'm sorry i didn't call you while i was in KL, but i really did wish that the both of you were here. I miss you Poe (cow!) and Zoe (mgg!) i don't think i really showed it, but two of you are the 2 people i missed most here =( hope to see you girls sometime in the near future..

I'm ready to go back to the UK now...

poooop........ (i actually typed out damn at first, but i forgot that i'm trying not to swear) i broke another rule for this month... i drank alcohol last night.

ching mun la!! go tempt me soo much! challenge me drinking... she won... that's just sad.. but i think both of us enjoyed ourselves alot. i know i did! hahah.

Aziq went there early with Dubby and Nicki cause i wanted to buka puasa with my family, and also cause i had to pick everyone else up. we were an hour late, but managed to drag Jie Xing, Sara, Ching Mun and Xin Ying along with me. wohoo!! it's party time!!!

i think i kinda passed out and fell asleep on the couch some time between midnight up until 2 when i started jumping around again.

my memory is kinda fuzzy, but i do remember bits and pieces, not sure in what order though..
-lying on the couch, and slowly falling asleep while everyone sang
-saying good bye to Aziq
-getting hit in the balls repeatedly! (did not remember until Aziq actually told me about it! i remember waking up to excruciating pain! only to fall asleep again straight after..)

Me and Ching Mun were the only ones who got quite wasted. thankfully we had our own respective designated drivers. Xin Ying sent Ching Mun home, and as i lay passed out in the backseat of my own car, Jie Xing drove Sara and himself back home. of course dropping me back at my granmom's place somewhere along the way.

woke up this morning realising that i had to send Nicki and Dubby off to kl central at 12! and i didn't have a car!! ....... i didn't even have my wallet on me!!! WTH!?!? luckily Jie Xing woke up and delivered my car to me on the way to his soccer thing. and i managed to send the girls to Central in time.

on the way back home.. found some paper in my jeans..

owh! it's the bill.. Aziq must've taken care of it..

hm.. how nice of him.. wonder how much did it all cost...

yea, he paid for everyone.. woah.....

anyway, since i was too tired to eat breakfast this morning, i was kinda starving, and after sending the girls off i was feeling kinda ill... i didn't get to drink enough water, and i was starting to feel lightheaded... now that isn't good!! i need something to fill me up till dinner, guess i'll make a quick stop before i head home...

mmm..... venti java chip frappucino..

now i'm just waiting for Ching Mun to come online so i can get some pics of last night up on here..

the visit

muahahhaha!! i'm finally back home! as some of u may have known, i had some friends visiting KL for a few days. but since my family's small modest home, we could not accomodate some guests staying over, so i went and stayed with my granmom for a few days!

Nicki and Dubby went down to Singapore to visit Su Mei in Singapore for 3 weeks, and i guess they got bored of it and felt the need to head up north towards KL!

Wasn't really sure where to take them around in KL, they wanted to do touristy stuff. soo let's see...
-twin towers
-tugu negara
-national museum
-batu caves

well.. at least it's something! Aziq was a great help, he showed them the life of the rich and famous in KL. wow.. he spoilt them while they were here! hahahah.. all in all, they said they enjoyed themselves, so i'm glad that they did. i didn't take that many pics of the touristy things we did, except for the batu caves trip. i'm not usually the type to take pics, i just steal other people's pics most of the time =P

at the top.. wow.. it really was a good workout..

but i guess the highlight of their visit was the Karaoke we had last night.. shall start a new post for it in awhile! but yea, sent them off earlier today.. i like showing people around KL... maybe next time i can be tour guide! =)
